(the magic excursion of psychic energy)

Currently in progress, this project delves into the notion of consciousness transmigration as revealed through archetypal forms and synchronicity. The project weaves research and personal narrative into a thread of subjectivity. Seemingly disparate sites, signifiers, objects and images from pre-history to contemporary times merge into a chronicle of convincing feelings. The culminating artwork also will question how narrative itself and the search for meaning becomes sculptural form. Event, time and place are narrative underpinnings analogous to the armature of additive sculpture, over which interpretation and meaning are molded.

Key narrative elements include a journey afar, the death of a loved one, the solace of objects, the resonance of history, and unexpected revelatory moments of synchronicity. Personal notes, anecdote, and images display the web of interconnections discovered through my inquiry. This information will culminate in an artist publication and possilbe installation, that will include writing, photographs, found-object sculptures, notes, diagrams, books and arrangements of ephemera.
