Christina Ondrus is an artist whose work in painting, drawing and sculpture engages the paradox of ineffability—the articulation of experiences or insights that defy precise description---from the rational to the irrational. She received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts and her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2010, she was an artist fellow with the Terra Foundation for American Art, in Giverny, France. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions, including shows at Artist Curated Projects, Public Fiction, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE). She lives and works in Los Angeles.

Christina is also the Founder and Director of KNOWLEDGES, an artist-organized curatorial initiative into the expanded field, whose mission is to create opportunities for artists and the public to experience site through the lens of art. KNOWLEDGES' first two major projects have examined Mount Wilson Observatory as a nexus of creative inspiration. First in 2012, then again in 2017, KNOWLEDGES at Mount Wilson Observatory, presented a constellation of site-specific contemporary artwork and performances on the grounds of the historic astronomical observatory located in the San Gabriel Mountains, outside Los Angeles. The 2017 exhibition was made possible with the support of a grant from the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts.
